CLOTHING
Bring a variety of clothing and outfits so we have sufficient choices for your portfolio photographs. This shoot will typically be the only time you need to provide your own clothes. On fashion assignments, the clothes will be provided for you.

With the exception of formal dresswear and swimwear being unnecessary, clothing guidelines are the same for children.

HAIR
Men and women – If you are not confident in your ability to style your own hair, please visit a professional hairstylist immediately before your photo shoot. If you prefer, Sunshine Productions can set up an appointment with one of our stylists for $25-$50.

Bring and use ONLY UNSCENTED hair products. Use gel as appropriate.

Men only – Discuss with us whether you should start with an unshaven look for the first shots, and then have you shave to complete the shoot with a clean-cut look. If you will be clean-shaven for the entire shoot, plan to arrive "picture-perfect" because we will start with the most dressy look, and then move to a more casual look afterward.

Women only – We typically start shooting with the most dressy look. Plan to arrive for the photo shoot with your hair "picture perfect" in a dressy style. After those shots, you can rearrange your hair into one or more casual looks for the final shots.

MAKEUP
Women only – Apply your makeup slightly heavier than you do for evening wear, but do not over apply.

• Use mascara on both upper and lower lashes.
• Do not use excessive mascara, eyeliner, or eye shadow.
• Cover blemishes as you normally would (we can remove any unwanted moles, scars, acne, piercings, braces, etc. after the photo shoot using digital imaging).

If you are not confident in your ability to apply your own makeup perfectly, Sunshine Productions can set up an appointment with one of our stylists for $25-$50.

Note: A professional makeup session can be arranged at a discounted price for Sunshine Productions models.

HYGIENE
Please, as a courtesy to those who are allergic, do NOT wear any perfume, cologne, lotion or other scented products of any kind.

So you do not look bloated (but also are not starving!), eat lightly a few hours before the photo shoot.

Brush and floss your teeth before the shoot, and do not eat again afterward.

Get a good night’s sleep the evening before the shoot so your eyes aren’t puffy. Use Visine (or similar) to remove any redness from your eyes.

PUNCTUALITY IS IMPORTANT!
Please arrive on time, not before or after your scheduled appointment.
